Spanish Tipples: Wine Tasting with award-winning Spanish winery, Bodegas Campos Reales

Nestled in the central region of Spain, to the south and east of Madrid, lies the arid La Mancha The setting of 17th-century novel "Don Quixote" by Miguel de Cervantes, it encompasses plains dotted with vineyards, castles and windmills and is home to the lush vineyards belonging to Bodegas Campos Reales.

Last month, we had the privilege of hosting a private dinner and wine tasting session for Bodegas Campos Reales at Binomio Restaurant. The dinner was graced by Mr Jose Antonio, the winemaker of the Spanish winery who introduced the portfolio of wines as the guests tucked into the exquisitely prepared spread of tapas by Binomio.

Jose introduced 6 wines from the Campos Reales portfolio, among which was the acclaimed tempranillo-based wine which was awarded the 'Best Young Wine' award in Spain. The secret behind the Campos Reales' wines lie in the lush tempranillo grape, which thrives in the arid La Mancha region.

The dinner guests included reputed wine distributors in Singapore and the region, and prominent wine journalists from titles such Epicure Asia and more. Needless to say, it was a great evening of tipple talk and learning more about Campos Reales' and its wine-making techniques. We hope the guests had an enjoyable evening and that Mr. Jose Antonio had a successful trip in Singapore.
