Expect the mall to come alive with a gala-themed Christmas fashion pop-up display to inspire shoppers with snazzy holiday wardrobe ideas.
With cocktail-tasting parties being all the rage, the mall has organised a fun and delicious showcase for enthused shoppers interested in hosting these activities. Be merry and join our intrepid mixologist as he mixes up festive cocktails to usher in the holiday cheer. We have invited a mixologist from Glenmorangie and Johnnie Walker to pave the way for a festive spirit at your holiday party or choose a great bottle of holiday wine for a fabulous wine soiree by Bottles & Bottles.
In addition, One Raffles Place shopping mall has invited five teams of young social entrepreneurs to raise funds for their selected charitable cause. These youths (aged 18 – 25) will take on the challenge of marketing and selling innovative products to the public in bids to raise funds to support their charity of choice.
Christmas Party / Gala-Dinner Fashion Display (27th November – 1st December)
This Christmas, it’s time to kick back, relax and enjoy the show. IWODE Menswear Tailor and Stylesuite will be organising a Christmas gala-dinner themed fashion display as year-end is the time for festive dinner and celebrations. Expect to see beautiful evening gowns, long dresses, customised menswear suits along with helpful fashion tips on the type of dress and suits one should wear to a Christmas party.
Festive Holiday Wine Showcase and Christmas Cocktail Demonstration by Bottles & Bottles (4th December – 8th December)
Need a good swig to set in tune the festive mood? Bottles & Bottles is set to run a cocktail demo on 7th and 8th December. They have invited award-winning mixologist, Tan Kim Kiat, to share tips on how to spice up your holiday parties with a range of exotic fusion offerings and festive concoctions.
One such concoction is ‘Glenmorangie Santa’s Secret’. Crafted with the vanilla softness and flowery fruitiness of Glenmorangie Original, and the aromatic essence of Elderflowers, this drink is Santa’s little secret to bring love this Christmas to everyone.
Spread the festive cheer and countdown to the new year with another delightful cocktail called ‘The Countdown’ which features, Johnnie Walker Black Label. Add a dash of angostura bitters, lemon juice, sugar syrup and egg white and be prepared to savour a classic cocktail with sharp citrus notes that perfectly complement the smoky, bold flavours of Johnnie Walker Black Label.
Social Entrepreneurship Charity Challenge with SingYouth Hub (13th – 15th December)
One Raffles Place is collaborating with SingYouth Hub, a youth and social non-profit organization to host the three-day Social Entrepreneurship Challenge 2017 which hopes to empower youths (aged 18 – 29) to be young changemakers in Singapore while instilling entrepreneurial skills through healthy competition. Hailing from various local universities and private institutions, the participating teams have laboured to develop the most creative business proposals and products to entice the crowd. All net proceeds will be donated to the charities whose causes will also be highlighted during the challenge.
Founder and Executive Director of SingYouth Hub, Ms Sophee Tan says. “Youths will learn various skill sets and create an impact on their beneficiary organizations through their business ideas. One Raffles Place was selected because we see our youths getting the opportunity to run a social enterprise in the CBD area whereby the mall will serve as a retail platform to fulfil their initiatives.”
Roving Santa and Santarina (21st December – 22nd December)
Ho Ho Ho! Santa Claus and Santarina will be jollying around the mall during lunch breaks to give away candies and chocolates to lucky shoppers whether you’re naughty or nice! And they are not camera shy either, take your Christmas pictures with them!
