PLAYFUL & INVENTIVE FARE WILL HAVE YOU EATING OUT OF A BAG AT THE CONTEMPORARY WAN BAR + KITCHEN

Singapore, June 2019  - Just because Wan is much lauded as a fabulous party venue with great music does not mean food plays second fiddle. And taking the dining experience up not one but several notches is the new inventive menu created by Chef Anthony.

There are now more delicious reasons to visit the restaurant, thanks to executive chef Anthony’s refreshed menu. It presents a wider repertoire of modern Asian favourites from appetisers to main courses and desserts.

Located in Suntec Tower 2 facing the circular driveway, Wan Bar + Kitchen offers diner service with Asian bites, five-course dinners, to-go dons, salads and late-night snacks. A $79 five-course, bubble tea-pairing dinner featuring Wan’s signature alcoholic concoctions with funky names; Casanova, Girl Next Door, Childhood Sweetheart, Long Distance Relationship, will also be available.

INJECTING FUN WITH BUBBLE TEA PAIRING

“The idea was to inject fun and excitement into our menu.” says Ms Leong Charlie, Management Associate. “As a result, our new menu at WBK combines elements of fun, adventure and irreverence. Old familiar favourites are injected with new playful and imaginative flavours. We’ve designed our casual bar and kitchen concept as the antidote to the jaded casual dining style that diners are tired of.”

Highlights include Chef Anthony’s mentaiko scallop capellini sprinkled with a generous helping of fish roe and grilled scallops or the Rock and Roll Ngo Hiang dosed with Chinese vinegar and chipotle sauce. Carrot cake which has been transformed into Cheesy Lobster Carrot Cake is as delicious as it is Instagram worthy. Movers and Shakers, the name of the Chicken Skin snack is served in a shake-it-yourself bag. Mixed with either mala or seaweed powder, it is a perfect beer snack or better yet, pair it with their signature alcoholic bubble tea, Casanova.

DELIGHTFULLY REIMAGINED GEMS

The dishes exemplify Chef Anthony’s playful creativity. His western cooking melds refined but low-frill bistro cooking with dashes of Asian ingredients like mala, chili, peanuts, bandung and chrysanthemums. While their signature Hokkien Mee remains a staple, the new menu with plates like Wanton Donuts along with house-made sauces and fiery Mala Mafia Prawns are reasons to keep revisiting for Wan more good meal.
