Our city’s newest cocktail bar has just opened in 2 Emerald Hill. To celebrate its opening, Black Nut dished out an Asian-inspired cocktail with an inventive Peranakan inspired food menu to match. Located and accessible through a connected doorway at Alley Bar, BlackNut serves an impressive list of original cocktails — named after famous Asian colloquial phases (Steady Pom Pipi, Kilat Kilat, Chut Pattern, Tian Swee Confectionery, Sio Ah, Power Chendol, Huat Ah) with dashes of Asian and Chinese spice — pandan leaf, chilli padi, lemon grass, corn kernels, jelly noodles and gula melaka.
