EasyVan Beats the Clock for Charity

Logistics service provider EasyVan partners Red Cross to salvage soon-to-be- expired food.

Singapore, 25th February 2015 – EasyVan speeds up delivery services with its mobile application. On 15 March, its trusty vehicles will transport food to Expires Today, the food booth at Red Cross International Bazaar 2015. This is a fundraising event organised by Red Cross to tie diplomatic missions and community services in serving the public. Funds raised will go to Singapore Red Cross local humanitarian services, such as Red Cross Home for the Disabled, TransportAid and FoodAid, which provides nutritious food for disadvantaged families on a monthly basis.

EasyVan is taking part in Red Cross’s special movement to deliver soon-to-be-expired food from Giant Tampines to a Spanish restaurant located at Craig Road, where it will be prepared into delicious tapas. The tapas will then be sold at the Expires Today booth at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza. The main stage will be occupied by modern and traditional performances from morning till night, accompanied by fun and games offstage.

Indeed, the audience shall witness how one’s unwanted food items can turn into another’s treasure with a touch of sincerity.
